Our Rehabilitation Environment

The new therapy gym at Shelby has the area’s finest state-of-the-art equipment for the best rehabilitative care:

• Training suites that include a full kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and laundry facilities — the ultimate environment to improve performance on activities of daily living
• A walking track, a full-sized Cadillac to learn safe vehicle transfers, and variable walking surfaces to simulate walking in the outside community
• Simulation Stations to encourage flexibility and build hand/eye coordination
• Safe patient handling devices and body weight support systems
• Recumbent cross-trainers, treadmills, and upper-body cycles

Physical, occupational, speech-language, and outpatient therapies are all available at Shelby. Additionally, the rehabilitation team at Shelby is skilled in the delivery of the Rivetus​ Rehabilitation iHeart© Rehabilitation Program, Lymphedema Therapy, VitalStim®, Falls Prevention, and LSVT Big and Loud.

Skilled Nursing/Long-Term Care

Long-term care provides personal care support services to residents that can no longer independently perform activities of daily living.

Shelby recognizes this important stage of life and honors it with signature long-term care that enables you to continue enjoying life’s pleasures free from worrying about diminishing mobility and autonomy capacities.
